Greg Hall, one of our Personal Injury Solicitors, has successfully completed his running challenge for 2018. By crossing the finish line at the Wilmslow ‘Festive’ 10k last Sunday, he has now run ten 10k events throughout the year, to raise funds for Kidscan – a local charity dedicated to children’s cancer research.
On finishing his challenge, Greg said “I did it – ten 10k races in 2018. Not quite a PB to end on at Wilmslow, but still my second fastest time to date, despite a massive hill near the end. I’m just pleased it’s all over!”
Even though Greg has had to battle through a hip injury; a bad fall in training; collapsing at the finish line of the Whitchurch 10k in April (resulting in an ambulance and overnight stay in hospital); not to mention “the unfortunate handicap of being utterly useless at running” (his words), Greg has not only achieved his target of raising £1,000 for Kidscan, he has now raised just over £1,500.
“Thanks for everyone’s support throughout the year, it’s made it much easier to keep going.”
